Monument Valley - sent by dome

monument valley usa kiss from the world travel and people magazine

Danger smile! Do you remember that? I wanted to take a picture of us while I held you in my arms. We tried but I lost my balance and… we risked falling off into the ravine behind us. A normal pose sounds better this time smile.

This valley has such beautiful landscapes smile!

In 1937 Harry Goulding, owner of Goulding's Lodge, heard people say that a few Hollywood producers were planning to film a couple of western movies smile in the South West, at a time in which the splendor of the area was still unknown to most people. Armed with a photo album of the Monument Valley, he left for California and started to knock on their doors.

One year later, John Ford brought a filming crew to Goulding’s remote and desert outpost to film “Stagecoach”. Dozens of movies came out one after the other, and then the myth of the Wild West was born. And today we’re living that myth, so what John Wayne used to say is sacred: “This is where God put the West” smile.

Ekipe Primary School - sent by dome

We’re driving around the island on our off-road vehicle. Dirt road, luxuriant landscapes, then a path in the middle of the forest and a signpost with the name of a school written on it. We follow the path and reach the shore of the Pacific Ocean. 5 classrooms, 5 huts smile. Amazing! The teachers dismiss their classes just for us, welcoming us as kings.…

El Misti stratovolcano - sent by dome

How are you feeling? Not good. And you? Same here. Do we stop now? No, let’s keep going smile. We’re at an altitude of over four thousand meters, we’re running out of oxygen, and just the tiniest movement requires superhuman efforts smile. Even our legendary off-road vehicle Jimny has to face its own crucial challenge today: dirt road, incredibly…

Salto el Sapo - sent by dome

Oh, wow! So much power. Thousands of liters of water pouring out each second smile. To get here we had to pass behind the waterfall on a narrow trail, slippery like ice, with a rock face on one side and a ravine and a wall of water on the other. The only thing that separated us from the precipice was a rope, spread out along the entire route smile. The…

Burj Al Arab - sent by giuly

Lol smile. We wanted to sneak smile into the private beach of Burj Al Arab, the seven-star hotel where the price for one room is 10 thousand dollars per night… We tried everything, but there were security guards at every corner. We wanted to sneak in at all costs. That’s when we noticed a nearby construction site. We went in and found a small…

Moulin Rouge - sent by giuly

What a nuisance smile! The Moulin Rouge show is sold out. What do we do now? We take comfort in their store: sequins, glitters, stage props… We buy a bit of everything, but the most amazing item we buy is a necklace with a heart smile made of ceramic, Moulin-Rouge kind of red.

Golden Gate Bridge - sent by giuly

How many times did we drive up and down our favorite bridge? 10, 20 times? Thank goodness people need to pay a toll every time they cross it, otherwise we’d stay here and drive from one side to the other 100, 1000 times a day smile. We’re nuts. Still, driving with the fog coming up to street level was just surreal. It felt like running on clouds with our…

Badwater - sent by giuly

A heartbreaking sunset, 51°C smile, 86 meters under sea level, and under our feet, a huge pit that forms one of the world’s biggest water basins. It’s incredible smile! This is a heavenly smile hell smile, where silence is so heavy that it hurts deep inside, and you count every breath, every blink, every heartbeat, each sound amplified until it almost…

about

Send a kiss to the whole world. Our magazine is united by a common theme: a collection of kisses on a backdrop of international landscapes – the witnesses to our reportage.

And the invite is out for everyone to contribute with their photos and videos of kisses. You can participate too! It’s a different way of “being there” and conveying the emotions of your travels.

But also, and above all, it’s a way to bring attention to the backdrop itself, when that backdrop is a world of poverty.

Because a photo that captures the fleeting smiles of men, women and children living in difficulty has the power to stay in the minds of those who see it forever.

The last primitives: we are the Hadzabe

Really suggestive video. Let's hope civilization does not completly destroy their way of life.
