If you have ever been to Tamarindo before, than I am sure you have seen the big yellow and blue bed and breakfast located directly on the beach beside the Diria. We had walked by the Hotel Villa Amarilla hundreds of times wondering what it was like. Finally, our curiosity got the best of us and my girlfriend Kaitlyn and I decided to check it out.
We were greeted by TJ and Cinde, the owners of Hotel Villa Amarilla and they gladly gave us a tour of the property and told us about how they acquired this great hotel.
We were blown away by how nice and relaxing it was there, so just a few days later we booked our room and were excited to really experience what Hotel Villa Amarilla had to offer.
Upon check in we were greeted by a welcome shot of tequila and shown to our room. The room had a very comfortable bed, flat screen TV, AC, mini fridge, a large clean washroom, and spectacular ocean views.
We spent most of the day hanging out at the beach and enjoying the nice back yard area at the Villa Amarilla. During happy hour TJ and Cinde brought out some homemade chips and salsa for us and the other guests to enjoy, talk about perfect timing! Several guests sat around enjoying the snacks, drinks, and each other’s company and of course Tamarindo’s beautiful sunset.
Hotel Villa Amarilla offers an amazing lounge area with hammocks, chairs, and couches. We spent almost all night hanging out in the hammocks and felt right at home. There is no better feeling than lying outside in those hammocks under a sky full of stars and company of those you love.
We slept like babies that night and woke up nice and early to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. They offer a variety of choices for breakfast including a life changing breakfast sandwich, tons of delicious pastries and loads of fresh fruit. We promise you won’t go hungry because they leave the food out for you to pick at until after lunch.
The Villa Amarilla will make you feel like you have never felt before, and you will without a doubt feel like family when you leave. We knew we made lifelong friends in TJ and Cinde and we’re forever thankful we met them and got the opportunity to stay at this one of a kind bed and breakfast.
