Chania

The beautiful capital of the prefecture of Chania, in Crete, was developed in the northwestern part of the island and is one of the major ports of Crete. For many it is one of the most beautiful cities in Greece. The Old Town is really charming, as well as the Venetian Harbor, which gives the city an unique color. The Public Garden and the Park of Peace & Friendship of People, deserve your visit. Moreover you can visit several archaeological sites near the city. Chania offer great selections for accommodation and entertainment and if visiting in summer, you can visit many beautiful beaches.

Harbour, Chania

Those who did not take a stroll to the port of Chania, have never experienced the magic of Crete! Anyone who did not raise his eyes to the Lighthouse, or didn’t enjoy the blue of the sea, has not felt what real beauty is! Both the Harbour and the lighthouse are built in Venetian style. It was constructed in 1356 and had a capacity of «forty galleys!» Chania’s harbour bustles with life, since it is one of the most beautiful and busy areas of the city. Visit the Big Yard and then let yourself take a stroll through the old town. The narrow paved streets that start from the Port will lead you there. If you get tired of walking, take a stop anywhere; enjoy a coffee, a meal or a drink overlooking the deep blue sea! The Port will never seize amazing you if you decide to pay a visit. Venetian buildings and the Mosque, give it a cosmopolitan colour and remind the visitor that when the cultures of the people meet, the place becomes particularly colourful and interesting!

Maleme, Chania

You’ll find it at a distance of 16 km from the city of Chania. It is a historic place of Crete, since there was the landing spot of German paratroopers who invaded Crete in 1941, in the start of the Battle of Crete in World War II. Maleme today is a beautiful seaside tourist destination with good infrastructure. The village has a beautiful sandy beach and the visitor will find many options for entertainment and good food.

Kalamaki, Chania

Cretan wind, sandy beaches, it is located close by to the town of Chania and full of life! Kalamaki is waiting to welcome you and teach you what holidays is all about! The sea is irresistable, ideal for family vacation, as the beaches are swallow and most suitable for small children. As for the local cuisine, it is a common secret that the Cretan cuisine has no match!
