I visited Rimini a few months ago in one of my business trips, not during the summer season. This unexpected trip was my opportunity to get to know this beautiful Italian city, bathed in the waters of the Adriatic Sea!
Rimini is a small town having about 150,000 inhabitants. This city is one of the most famous summer resorts of the Italian Riviera!
As I said above, during the time of my visit the city, although it did not have a lot of tourists, several of its hotels were open. So, I chose to stay in a beautiful small seaside hotel! From the balcony of my room I had a grand view of the sea, plenty enough to cheer me up!
I stayed four days in Rimini and tried to see as much of it as my time would allow. Many of its corners give the impression of a modern tourist resort with a lot of new buildings, many hotels, several restaurants and cafes as well as several busy roads!
In some corners I met the charm of the authentic Italian classical buildings, the beauty of the Catholic Churches and the smell of flowers in gardens and balconies!
A special image to recall of Rimini is the great sandy, straight and wide beach, ideal for those who enjoy walking by the sea. Many people start their day walking by the beach, something that personally I liked greatly, since I think that the sea has the magical ability to relax and calms us!
Another beautiful corner of Rimini is its port, where the whole view is very Mediterranean, with all those boats tied next to each other in the marina, swaying to the rhythm of the wave all day and night!
Last but not least I left mentioning the good food! The days I was in Rimini, I had the chance to enjoy delicious and genuine Italian food and very tasty desserts, both in affordable prices!
In general I liked my trip to Rimini! Although I went there for business, I enjoyed several quiet moments and I really felt like I had gone on vacation. I have no idea of how the city might be in the heart of summer, but during my visit (late autumn), it was a beautiful, quiet city which won me over!
