24 Hours Exploring Rome

So on our last and recent visit to Italy, we arrived to Rome, and literally we had 24 hours to explore the entire city. This was not my first time there, but yes the first one reporting for my blog. So we got in touch with a local tour operator who took care of us from the minute we arrived to the airport, till the moment we left Rome, onwards to our next adventure in the Tuscan Valley and Florence. ANDIAMO Travel was the company we chose for the challenge of discovering Rome, Florence and Venice in only 6 days. After a week and a half of exploring Italy, thanks to the expert local eye, knowledge and expertise of their tour guides, we can say that we DID IT. !!!

It was an early morning, when we arrived to Rome and our driver was waiting for us at the airport on a luxury private transfer, to take us to our hotel The First Luxury Art Hotel. Three hours to freshen up, enjoy a lovely local lunch, and off to explore Rome. We visited almost all main highlights and attractions, of course including the Coliseum, the Vatican City, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Vittorio Emananuele Monument, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city for Gianicolo (or Janiculum) hill.

We went back to our hotel after our tour, ready to take a shower and head out to explore, this time on our own walking, Rome by night. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the top floor of the Hassler Hotel, IMAGO Restaurant (review to come soon) and then we walked along the Piazza di Spagna, down the Spanish Steps, along Via del Corso and off to the Fontana di Trevi. Following morning, we woke up early, to continue our transition across Italy to the Tuscan Valley at the Relais Borgo Santo Pietro and onwards to our next destination, Florence and the stunning Villa San Michele.

As for ANDIAMO Travel, I must say, they were the right fit for us. Luxury Mercedes Benz cars, professional knowledgeable local friendly bilingual tour guides. They were very flexible and dynamic, adjusting our itinerary before and during our time in Italy, to fit best our needs. Booking process was easy and enjoyable, where we were able to build our own bespoke itinerary based on our interests and time frame. After our own experience, I have used Andiamo Travel for some of my personal clients, and they shared with me the same experience and positive feedback. See the Full Post, Videos and Photos @
