2014 Travel Year in Review

Unbelievably, a brand new year is less than 24 hours away. I must say that 2014 has been a phenomenal year in every which way. As I reflect on the greatness of this past 365 days, I must recount some of the key moments and feats it entailed:

***Spent the first four months of the year completing the final semester of my study abroad master's program in Thailand

***Traveled to America for spring graduation in the Midwest (my first visit to this region of the States)

***Reunited with my family/friends in Delaware during the summer and even made a trip to the beach in New Jersey

***Visited India at the onset of autumn for a two-month rare cultural/theological program that forever changed my life

***Accomplished a copious amount of versatile writing— academic, travel, professional— resulting in a larger portfolio

***Resumed travelogue programs and started teaching Chinese classes in my hometown

***Expanded my global network of contacts both online and offline

Abundantly grateful I am to have had such a successful year that has prepared me to face the coming year. Indeed, I foresee exponential growth in 2015 as I strive to attain all of my goals, especially the travel-related ones. So I am looking onward, upward and forward to an extraordinary future ahead. No regrets, no doubts! I must give a most deserving thank you to all of my readers; I appreciate your support so very much. Happy New Year to you all!!! (party)

Travel is not just what I do but it is who I am. When I first traveled abroad in high school as a foreign exchange student, little did I know that it would serve as the threshold of a lifetime interest in globetrotting. Now nearly 10 years later, I have lived in four countries and plan to do much more traveling in years to come. The world of teaching English has given me incredible opportunity to engage in cultural anthropology and I certainly can't get enough of the language learning process as a polyglot in the making. My personal website is currently under construction but I also maintain a micro-blog on facebook that enables me to share my insights and experiences with my ever-growing following. All in all, I am most proud to be known as a global citizen, a reference I accept with humility and honor. Blogging is rad! Many thanks (muchas gracias, feichang ganxie, grazie un millon, fala menogu) to KFTW for allowing me this platform to connect with the world and vice versa. St. Augustine said it best: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page."
