A visit to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre ( A ZOO )

I have been to the zoo twice earlier for a school trip when I was about 13 and at 15 with my dad. Close to 9 years later I decided to take my nieces and nephews back to the zoo after constant nagging by them to see a ‘real lion’ and chimpanzee, little did I know i would enjoy the visit more than the kids?

The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre is a fun and exciting place to see and learn about the animals of Uganda and the ecosystems in which they live. Take some time to learn how they live, eat, play, and talk.

On a hot Sunday afternoon, the walk was tiring but I enjoyed every bit of it, I discovered the chimpanzees are a lot like humans in behaviour, they are happy around family and friends but get angry too.

These are some of the animals I saw, my best being the chimpanzees while they ate their sugar canes, they held all the rubbish in their palms and did not litter, this observation had me smiling to myself.
