Kiss-From-The-World-Jamaica-Trench-Town

Trench Town

Disturbing: abuses, violence, murders. In spite of all, there are people here who keep on dreaming and believing in a better life. These people give life a try every single day, they fall, and then get back up again.

They find their strength in music and in their friends who succeeded. And their friends are Bob Marley, Vincent Ford (Tata), Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailers and many others. They lived here, they fought, and they made it.

It was an honor to walk along the alleys of Trench Town, but it was even more of an honor to sing songs by Bob Marley and his band the Wailers with these guys: it was amazing, we had goose bumps all over. Their eyes were shining, their smiles looked infinite, their problems gone. For a moment we felt like this was the most beautiful place to live in.

So between shacks and clothes hanging out to dry in a dusty backyard, these wonderful people sent a kiss to the whole world. “Hey, we’re here, and we’re not giving up!”.
