Kiss-From-The-World-Portugal-Lisbon-Belem-Tower

Belém Tower

When they say that love is blind… Before leaving for Lisbon, dear Giuly, you sprained your ankle. You no longer wanted to go. In the end I convinced you, we rented a wheelchair and left. Too bad that Lisbon is all ups and downs. It vaguely reminds us of San Francisco, and pushing a wheelchair uphill and downhill for 3 days on those damned cobblestones was really …. hard? Yes, but also fun. We literally died laughing. Indeed, you almost got yourself killed twice for real: the first time, when the wheelchair got stuck in the rails of an approaching streetcar; the second time when,in a steep descent, I couldn’t keep hold of the wheelchair. You bravely got up and threw yourself on the ground. Then, pushing and pushing, we went up to the outskirts of Lisbon, as if we had to conquer the tower of Belen! It was a huge effort, but we also had a huge amount of fun.
