A Plastic World

This is a photo of a sculpture that was part of the ‘Sculptures by the Sea’ exhibit situated along the coastal path between Bondi and Bronte Beaches. The Blode was created using a large number of plastic materials to illustrate the amount of rubbish we accumulate across the world throughout our lives.

My name is Rusja, but no one can ever pronounce it so everyone calls me Ru (or Roo, up to you). I'm 25 years old and well...I LOVE to travel. After graduating from University, I set off around the world on an epic year-long trip, during which I visited 10 different countries and had an indescribably incredible time, all the while keeping this site going with travel tales, photos and videos from everywhere I went. After my year abroad, I spent what felt like forever back in the UK before heading out on my next adventure - 3 months living in the French ski resort of Les Arcs, where I honed my snowboarding skills and worked freelance as a writer and editor.Summer 2013 was spent working in the USA at Camp Sloane YMCA as their Media Director (for the 3rd year in a row), before a quick jaunt to the West Coast and then on to Australia!Yes, I am flying the nest for a good long while and there are definitely some epic plans in the making for this next (indefinite) adventure, one that I hope will take me far, both travel and career-wise.
