This image was taken during a tour of the Galapagos Islands. A seal has just given birth and the placenta was nearby as the baby seal needed to eat it to ensure it grows up to be healthy and strong. However when a seal gives birth, the other animals want to eat the placenta. A bird is already eating it and a cheeky iguana is trying to get to it also. It was amazing to watch.
fter spending the last decade travelling to distant lands, I have created this blog to share my travel tales and provide advice on all things travel related.Growing up on the little island of Tasmania, Australia, I have always had a love of the outdoors. A day out in the ocean or hiking a mountain is what makes me happy. It wasn't until I took my first overseas trip that I developed an insatiable taste for roaming the world. I thought that this lust for travel would settle, however it has grown to be part of my lifestyle and identity. My love for travel has also allowed me to work in the travel industry. Whether I was organising a weekend away or planning an exotic handmade journey, my time as a travel consultant was a real passion, and taught me even more about travel. Now, I have taken all of this knowledge and expertise to offer a blog that aims to be informative, fun, and interesting. I want to appeal to a wide audience, so look out for reviews on five-star luxury honeymoon destinations one day, and sharing the magic of backpacking through remote locations the next. And then there are the tips and tricks to help you plan, prepare and enjoy your travel adventures.
