Ancient Dodoni

Ancient Dodoni was a religious place dedicated to god Zeus, located in Epirus, Greece where also the famous oracle of Dodoni was established at 2600 BC. The Oracle of Dodoni is considered by experts to be the oldest oracle in the Greek territory.

In the 3rd century BC a theater,  consisted of 18,000 spectators seats, was built in Ancient Dodoni. Today, in the archaeological site, which is open to the public, the visitor can admire the remaining buildings, which are in very good condition. The archaeological site of Dodoni remains impressive even  today attracting many visitors.

If you are in the area, do not miss to visit the archaeological site. This visit will be a good opportunity to learn more details about the ancient Greeks!
