This photo was taken while I was going towards Leh from Srinagar. The traffic was huge but the landscape was beautiful. It was worth the wait. On the other side of the mountain, the trek leads to `Amarnath Yatra`.
A Psychology teacher by profession and a true traveler by heart, she is ever-ready for travel experiences in Indian hinterlands and secret alleyways. She knows how to travel on light pockets and have fun to the hilt. A true mountain lover, she went to Ladakh on a solo-backpacking trip and came back with ‘Nomadic Shoes‘: a not-for-profit travel initiative by her to encourage female solo traveling in India. Bet her on any still-secret and offbeat location in Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Rajasthan or West Bengal- you’re sure to lose. She has been there, done that. But that doesn’t satisfy this traveler-blogger-writer soul. Catch up more of her here. By the way, she began year 2013 with a resolution of traveling to 12 new places, she ended up with 20 new places ! Try beat that.
