Six thousand traditional Moroccan artisans worked for five years to create this amazing space. The mosque rises above the Atlantic Ocean. It is built partially on land and partially over the ocean. The structure has the capacity to accommodate 25,000 devotees for prayers in the main hall and another 80,000 in the plaza squares around it. As a photographer, this constitutes a target rich environment!
little did i know when i received a kodak instamatic 100 at my twelfth birthday slumber party and started snapping photos of my giggling guests in their rainbow lounge pajamas that it was to be a seminal moment in my career. however, it was a college summer session in paris and the south of france that firmly fixed my love affair with travel and the camera.almost 40 years later, i still have a consuming passion with photography. wanderlust is in my dna. i am not happy unless i have a monster trip planned...unless i have a camera around my neck. i am grateful for a long and successful career in the medium. and i can still rock a layout back off the springboard along with a decent back handspring on land!enjoy!shevaun
