Laguna (lake) 69 nestles under the peaks of Pisco and Chacraraju in the Cordillera Blanca near Huaraz in the Ancash region of Peru. The lake is visited daily by visitors doing the c.3 hour trek from 3,900m at the starting point up to 4,625m, the altitude of the lake. Whilst en-route to the starting point, one passes the other blue-green lakes of Llanganuco in the Huascaran National Park.
I have worked my way through 30 countries in Africa as a Freelance guide, photographer and helping developing tourism and hospitality skills. After 18 years of this and also qualifying as a divemaster, I've now jumped across to South America and currently in Peru. In addition to these travels, I have also travelled some of Europe, the Caribbean and Thailand. Living on the road the last 16 years is my life and what fuels my passion for sharing my experiences with clients and readers alike.
