Skaya: where music and nature collide

“I’m Skaya, Italian musical producer for ‘Nutune Production’.

We’re in ‘Black Hill’, location situated along the Jamaican coast. My house is located 50 meters from the sea, on top of a hill, and it’s made entirely of wood.

I built the recording studio with my own hands, bit by bit. Inside the studio there’s a ‘Control room’ with computers, mixers, and instruments, and a ‘Singer box room’, the recording booth for artists.

This is where I write and collaborate with various artists like the ‘Ambassadors’, the ‘Lion Culture’, the ‘Easy Skunkers’, and the ‘Alborosie’.

Black Hill Beach is windy, wild, and unspoilt, and it offers great inspiration. It feels natural to let your soul be filled with the greatness of this place and reach a great inspiration.

For Jamaicans music is a part of life, it’s something very important and powerful. Jamaica is the land of music.

I live with my girlfriend, Alicia, a young Jamaican writer. Music is passion for her, a source of life, and it’s characteristic of herself as well as the landscape. She loves giving music to all the different emotions that her land gives her.
