This photo was taken last year in September. As we drove closer towards Chandrataal, the songs got louder in our car and the head banging got wilder. The lake as pretty as a this, was definitely at a place, where the streets have no name. The naked bald mountains, surrounded by the cold desert will keep you company till you reach the Moon Lake.
A Psychology teacher by profession and a true traveler by heart, she is ever-ready for travel experiences in Indian hinterlands and secret alleyways. She knows how to travel on light pockets and have fun to the hilt. A true mountain lover, she went to Ladakh on a solo-backpacking trip and came back with ‘Nomadic Shoes‘: a not-for-profit travel initiative by her to encourage female solo traveling in India. Bet her on any still-secret and offbeat location in Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Rajasthan or West Bengal- you’re sure to lose. She has been there, done that. But that doesn’t satisfy this traveler-blogger-writer soul. Catch up more of her here. By the way, she began year 2013 with a resolution of traveling to 12 new places, she ended up with 20 new places ! Try beat that.
