Suddenly a volcanic lake

Walking to Rome, I left the beautiful mountains of Tuscany and entered the Lazio region. Suddenly a breathtaking view. Lake Bolsena, magnificent!, 305m above sea level, considered the biggest volcanic lake in Europe (113,5 Km2). More than 600.000 years ago the Vulcan Vulsinio was active and gave origin to this beautiful lake. It is also the “tuff civilization” region. Most cities like Bolsena, were built with volcanic tuff blocks and are perfectly integrated in the dreaming surroundings.

Portuguese nationality, I was born in Mozambique (former Portuguese land) and raised in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) near Victoria Falls. I left Africa for Europe and lived and worked in Germany, Holland, Belgium, England, Italy and Portugal as a financial consultant. But my love for the holistic therapies, nature and people led me to always pursuit this area first as a hobby and finally as my philosophy and way of life. And the Universe gave me the chance to come and live in Brazil in 2009 and here I am, living in the most paradise corner of Northeast Brazil, in a small fishing village. Nature here is awesome! Besides this I am a pilgrim and have already walked over 1500 Kms in Europe and Brazil. I enjoy trying new foods, observing customs and soak in nature and fauna.
